• Military branch or general military/veteran status when voluntarily provided.
• What product, service, business, experience or assistance you are looking for.

• Information you add when you vouch for a business, such as a comment or a photo.
• Information contained in forms, assessments, calls, text messages, emails or other communications you send to HeroDeals.

Business and Partner Information

If you own, represent or work for a business that contacts HeroDeals or applies to become a Partner, we may collect information such as:

• Your name and professional contact information.
• Business name.
• Business category or industry.
• Areas where the business provides products or services.
• Information about the business's products, services, pricing, discounts or HeroDeals offers.
• Information submitted through a Partner Assessment.
• Information about the business's qualifications, values, service standards and suitability for the HeroDeals network.
• Communications between HeroDeals and the business.

Calls, Texts and Communications

If you call, text, email or otherwise communicate with HeroDeals, we may receive and maintain the information you provide during those communications, along with related communication data such as the telephone number or email address used, date and time, and communication history.

HeroDeals may use technology, including automated systems and artificial intelligence tools, to help answer communications, collect requested information, summarize interactions, route requests and help Jesse manage a large number of inquiries.

Website and Technical Information

When you use a HeroDeals website, the website, hosting provider, communications platform or other service providers may automatically receive certain technical information. Depending on the systems in use, this may include:

• Device type.
• Operating system.

HeroDeals may use information for legitimate purposes connected with operating and improving the HeroDeals network. Those purposes may include:

• Understanding what you need.
• Determining what type of business, provider or person may be able to help.
• Determining whether you are ready for an introduction.
• Making an introduction that you requested.
• Following up about your request.
• Communicating with you by telephone, email or text message when appropriate.
• Reviewing and evaluating potential HeroDeals Partners.
• Managing relationships with existing Partners.
• Maintaining records of requests, introductions and communications.
• Operating, maintaining and improving the HeroDeals website and services.
• Protecting HeroDeals, its users, Partners and systems from misuse, fraud, abuse or security threats.
• Complying with applicable laws, legal processes and regulatory obligations.

How Introductions Work

Personal introductions are a core part of HeroDeals. If you contact HeroDeals because you need a product, service, business, experience or other assistance, HeroDeals may use the information you provide to identify an appropriate person or business.

When you request or authorize an introduction, HeroDeals may share information reasonably necessary to make that introduction.

Depending on the request, this could include information such as:

• Your name.
• Your telephone number.
• Your email address.
• Your general location.
• What you are looking for.
• Relevant timing or request details.
• Other information you asked HeroDeals to communicate to the person or business.

Vouches and Hero Shoutouts Are Public

Veterans, service members and military family members may choose to vouch for a business on HeroDeals and may add a short comment, called a Hero Shoutout. Unlike the rest of the information in this policy, a vouch is meant to be seen by the public.

What May Be Shown Publicly

• Your first name and last initial.
• Your branch of service, if you choose to share it.
• Your Hero Shoutout comment.
• Your photo, only if you choose to add one.
• That you vouched for that business, which counts toward the vouch number on its profile.

What Is Never Shown Publicly

Your full last name, phone number, email address, street address and the details of your request are not shown on a business profile. HeroDeals may keep your contact information privately to confirm a vouch is real and to stop fake or paid vouches.

Who Sees It

Anyone who visits the business's HeroDeals profile may see your vouch. The business you vouched for is told that you vouched, and may see the same public details listed above. HeroDeals may also show your vouch in graphics the business shares, such as a milestone graphic, but only the public details listed above.

We Do Not Sell Personal Information

HeroDeals does not sell personal information provided by veterans, military members, family members, consumers or HeroDeals Partners to data brokers, lead buyers or unrelated marketers.

HeroDeals was specifically created to provide a different experience from websites where someone enters information looking for a “veteran deal” and then receives calls, emails or text messages from numerous unrelated companies.

When Information May Be Shared

Although HeroDeals does not sell personal information, information may be disclosed in certain circumstances necessary to operate HeroDeals.

At Your Request or With Your Direction

Information may be shared when you request or authorize HeroDeals to introduce you to another person, Partner or business.

Service Providers

HeroDeals may use third-party technology and service providers to operate its websites, communications, forms, customer relationship management, hosting, email, telephone, text messaging, automation and other business systems.

These providers may process information on behalf of HeroDeals as necessary to provide their services.

Legal and Safety Reasons

HeroDeals may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, safety or security of HeroDeals, its users, Partners or others.

Business Changes

If HeroDeals or relevant business assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

SMS and Text Messaging

HeroDeals may communicate by text message when you initiate a text conversation, request communication by text, provide consent or when texting is otherwise permitted under applicable law.

Text messages may include responses to your inquiry, information about a request, introduction-related communications, Partner communications, appointment or follow-up information, and other messages related to your interaction with HeroDeals.

Stopping Text Messages

You may withdraw consent to receive text messages. You may reply STOP to a text message to request that further messages stop. Other reasonable requests indicating that you want text messages to stop may also be honored as required by applicable law.

You may receive a confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out request.

Email and Other Communications

HeroDeals may send email or other communications related to your request, an introduction, a Partner application, your relationship with HeroDeals, administrative matters or other relevant HeroDeals activity.

Where applicable, promotional emails may include a method for unsubscribing or changing communication preferences.

Certain non-promotional communications may still be necessary to respond to a request, complete an introduction, address an account or Partner relationship, provide requested information or communicate about legal, security or administrative matters.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

HeroDeals websites and the technology providers used to operate them may use cookies, pixels, local storage or similar technologies.

These technologies may be used to support website functionality, remember preferences, understand website performance, maintain security or understand how visitors interact with the website.

HeroDeals takes reasonable steps designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure.

For that reason, HeroDeals cannot guarantee the absolute security of information.

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights or choices concerning personal information.

You may contact HeroDeals to ask questions about information associated with you or to request that HeroDeals review, correct or delete information, where applicable.

Certain information may need to be retained where required or permitted by law, for legitimate recordkeeping, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security or other lawful purposes.

Communication Choices

• You may ask HeroDeals not to send promotional emails.
• You may withdraw consent for text messages using a reasonable opt-out method.
• You may choose not to provide optional information.
• You may tell HeroDeals that you no longer want an introduction request pursued.

Information About Military Status

HeroDeals exists to serve veterans, active-duty military members, members of the military community and their families. As a result, you may voluntarily provide information related to your military branch or general military/veteran status.

HeroDeals may use this information to understand eligibility, personalize assistance or help provide an appropriate HeroDeals experience.

Children

HeroDeals is not designed as an online service directed to children under the age of 13. HeroDeals does not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website.

If a parent or legal guardian believes that a child under 13 has provided personal information directly to HeroDeals, the parent or guardian may contact HeroDeals so the matter can be reviewed and appropriate action taken.

Third-Party Websites and Businesses

HeroDeals may introduce you to independent businesses, providers or other third parties. HeroDeals websites may also contain links to websites operated by third parties.

Those third parties operate independently and may have their own privacy practices, terms and policies.

Once you interact directly with a third-party business or website, information you provide directly to that third party is generally governed by that third party's own privacy practices.

Partner Information

Businesses and professionals who apply to become HeroDeals Partners may provide information for evaluation, onboarding and ongoing participation in the network.

HeroDeals may use Partner information to:

• Review whether a business may be a fit for the HeroDeals network.
• Determine industry and service-area availability.
• Communicate with prospective and current Partners.
• Manage the Partner relationship.
• Determine which Partner may be appropriate for a particular introduction.
• Provide heroes with relevant information about participating Partners.
• Maintain quality, service and network standards.

Information intended to describe or promote a Partner business within HeroDeals may be displayed or communicated to HeroDeals users.

Partner Profiles

A Partner's profile may publicly show the business name, logo, category, region, photos, video, hours, service-area map, website and social links, badges, vouch count and Hero Shoutouts. For Featured Partners, the profile may also show the business's public Google rating and reviews, which come from Google.

Partner Performance Information

HeroDeals may track how many heroes it introduces to a Partner, how fast the Partner responds and feedback from heroes. HeroDeals uses this to manage the network and award badges such as Responds Fast. A Partner's referral count is shown privately to that Partner, not to the public.

Customer Lists for Review Requests

If a Featured Partner gives HeroDeals a list of its own customers so HeroDeals can send review requests on the Partner's behalf, HeroDeals uses that list only to send those review requests. HeroDeals does not sell it, does not add those customers to HeroDeals marketing and does not share it with other Partners. The Partner is responsible for having permission to contact those customers.

Information We May Receive From Others

HeroDeals may receive information from other people when they request an introduction on someone's behalf, refer someone to HeroDeals, provide information about a business or otherwise communicate information relevant to the HeroDeals network.

HeroDeals may also receive information from service providers that support website, communication or business operations.

When appropriate, HeroDeals may combine information received from others with information already associated with an existing request or relationship.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

HeroDeals may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the network, technology, services or legal requirements change.

When the policy is updated, the “Last Updated” date near the top of this page may be revised.

Material changes may also be communicated in another reasonable manner when appropriate or required by law.
